Village of New Hyde Park, NY Begins Switching to LED Streetlighting, Soon to Be Finished by Summer 2022

  Village of New Hyde Park, NY will officially go green and switch to Acuity Autobahn LED streetlights from RealTerm Energy. As the village mayor Maureen O'Connell announced the latest village in Nassau County to switch to LED streetlights, the streetlight will soon save up to $400 over 20 years. The Village of Floral Park completed Acuity Autobahn LED streetlights in December 2021, which is also part of RealTerm Energy and all of the lights will be 2200K CCT, which is extremely warmer than 4000K CCT. Once completed, LEDs will have better light and technology.

Town of Smithtown, NY Pulls 5700K, Installs 2200K LED Streetlights in all its 13,000 Luminaires

                                             After 2 decades, Town of Smithtown streetlights are way too bright and can cause damage. So Smithtown will take out 13,000 5,700K LED streetlights and install 13,000 2,200K LED streetlights which are dark-sky friendly. The manufacturers Smithtown is choosing are now Signify (Cooper) and Acuity. The products are Autobahns ATBMicro, ATB0 & ATB2 and Archeon streetlights. The Supervisor said these dark-sky friendly lights can help people sleep better, rather than cool white and warm white is so much better.

Village of Cedarhurst To Install LEDs in All Its Luminaires in 2021

  Village of Cedarhurst has contracted GE current, a daintree company. GE Evolve LED streetlights will replace all HPS streetlights this year. The ERL streetlights are efficient and dark-sky friendly. According to the Mayor, the Mayor says that LEDs are cheap and efficient and good for the environment.
